    These are common redpolls. Contrary to their name, we may go years without seeing any in central Minnesota. They visit from Canada during winters with challenging food supplies further north. The last time they came, they seemed most interested in birch catkins. This year, they seem to focus on weed seeds and the thistle feeder.
